Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester — Written Exam & Hands-On Training

Prerequisites: High school diploma or equivalent education; must be over 18 years old; able to effectively communicate in English, including speaking and writing skills.

This course is designed to prepare students to take their Backflow Tester Certification exams. This course is based on the U.S.C. 10th Edition Manual of Cross-Connection Control and includes a combination of classroom lecture and hands-on training in our wet lab.

By the end of this course, students will be prepared to take their Backflow Tester Certification exam. These exams consist of a 100-question written exam, a 25-question troubleshooting written exam, and a hands-on exam where students must demonstrate the proper use of the USC 10th Edition’s field test procedure for Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly, Double Check Valve Assembly, Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly, and Spill-Resistant Vacuum Breaker Assembly.

Upon successful completion of the training course, the student is issued a certificate of completion and contact hours from Water Industry Training Specialists, Inc.
