Hands-On Wet Lab Access
Hours: M-F 8am-3pm
Our wet-lab features 18 fully-equipped individual backflow test stations that include RP, DC, PVB, and SVB backflow assemblies. Our test stations are modifiable to simulate passing and failing testing conditions. These modifiable stations allow a student to thoroughly prepare for real-life testing scenarios.
Our wet-lab is equipped with 18 Midwest 845-5 Test Gauges that are available for rent while using our wet-lab.
RULES FOR WET-LAB:
Visitors must check in at front desk and provide a valid ID to front desk staff. Visitors must sign into facility and pay the access fee ($10/day for wet-lab only, $15/day for wet-lab + test kit use).
** Exclusion: for ONLY the week following their class, students who took a Refresher class are granted access without the fee. Students who took a 40-hour tester course are granted 6 months of free access to the wet-lab if they have not passed their AWWA exam. Student names will be provided to the front desk staff with the appropriate dates that they are eligible for free access. **
Visitors must sign in and out EVERY TIME they enter or leave the facility. The visitor will be charged for any destruction to wet-lab property.
Once you have signed in, a technician will escort you to the wet-lab and walk you through a basic use of the test stations.
Please note: the time in the wet-lab is UNINSTRUCTED time. If you would like to arrange personal training from one of our staff, please call us at 408-676-9487. All instructed time must be scheduled prior to arrival.
